Superintendent Search

Our District

The School District of Arcadia covers approximately 211 square miles, serving the communities of Arcadia, Waumandee, Dodge, and Pine Creek located in Buffalo and Trempealeau Counties in beautiful western Wisconsin. The student population is diverse, including a significant Hispanic enrollment. A committed staff challenges our students academically and strives to inspire and empower all learners

The district provides many outstanding services to its students and community. We have extensive ELL services, including a "Welcome Room" for new families in the community and adult English learning classes. Technology is readily available to students throughout the district with 1:1 digital learning opportunities in grades K-12. We also provide full time nursing services for our students and maintain our own transportation services.

Arcadia participates in a 4 school co-op with Blair-Taylor, Independence and Whitehall to expand the learning opportunities for high school students and maximize the resources amongst smaller, rural schools.

Our Community

Arcadia is a vibrant community of 2,400 residents ideally located in scenic west- central Wisconsin. Although small in size, Arcadia is only a short drive from larger communities and also offers exceptional recreational opportunities including hunting, fishing, golf and cycling. Arcadia is approximately 45 miles northwest of La Crosse, Wisconsin, 45 miles south of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, 30 miles from Winona, Minnesota, and less than 30 miles from the mighty Mississippi River. There are five colleges and universities located within this short drive from the district.

Arcadia is a wonderful place to raise a family in a safe, small town environment. The community's excellent parks and recreation department provides many opportunities for the entire family. Beautiful Memorial Park is home to the aquatic center, ball fields, amphitheater and nationally known Soldier's Walk, a memorable tribute to veterans everywhere. Arcadia is also home to Ashley for the Arts, a regionally recognized event that showcases local and national musical and artistic talents.

Industry in our community includes both agricultural and manufacturing, with Ashley Furniture, Inc. headquarters and a Pilgrim's Pride (formerly Gold 'n Plump) processing plant in town. A strong agricultural base exists with many active farms and associated agri-businesses. Community support for the school district is very strong, as evidenced by outstanding support for the Arcadia Educational Foundation.

Our Schools

The School District boasts excellent facilities for academic instruction on two campuses. The high school and middle school, located on the southern edge of the city, border Memorial Park. The elementary school is located east of the downtown area on Main Street.

The high school was built in 1998 and houses grades 9-12. A number of extra and co-curricular opportunities are provided to our students, allowing them to showcase and develop their unique talents. A large number of scholarships are made available to students via the Arcadia Educational Foundation. A wide array of advanced placement courses, distance learning and transcripted courses are available to students.

The middle school was built in 2016 and houses grades 5-8. The middle school provides co-curricular opportunities for students in music, drama, robotics, athletics and Odyssey of the Mind.

The elementary school is located on Main Street and is recognized for its diversity and meeting the needs of all students. The elementary is a Title I school and participates in Wisconsin's AGR program for class size reduction.
