SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS NEEDED

 

          The School District of Arcadia, Wisconsin, is accepting applications for substitute teachers.  You must have a valid Wisconsin teaching license or substitute teacher license.  Rate of pay is $100/day.  Interested persons should call the District Office at 608-323-3315. 

 

 

 

 

Speech-Language Pathologist

 

          The School District of Arcadia is accepting applications for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2016-2017 school year.  Applicants must have or be in the process of completing a Masters in Communication Science and Disorders and Wisconsin DPI certification 84.  Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is highly preferred.  Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion is also preferred, but not required.  Supervision for the CFY is available within the school district, if needed.  Primary responsibilities will be working with children in early childhood through grade 2.  Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION TEACHER

 

             The School District of Arcadia is accepting applications for a full-time Technology Education teacher.  Employment will begin with the 2017-2018 school year. The Arcadia School District offers a competitive salary and benefit package.

             Qualifications: Certified and/or eligible for Wisconsin certification to teach Technology (1220) at the High School and Middle School level. Candidate must have proper DPI certification and completion of application materials.

Early Childhood Teacher

The School District of Arcadia has an opening for a full-time Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, for the 2017-18 year. The teacher will provide special education services for children 3-5 years of age. 

          Applicants must have or be willing to work toward an 809 certification.  The position requires close collaboration with a speech and language pathologist, related service providers, and early childhood regular education teachers. Background experience and knowledge of working with diverse cultural backgrounds is highly preferred.

School Psychologist

 

          The School District of Arcadia is accepting applications for a full-time School Psychologist for the 2017- 2018 school year. Current Wisconsin School Psychology license (7062) is required. Preference will be give to individuals with experience working with diverse populations and the ability to communicate in Spanish. In addition to responsibilities listed below, this individual should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Assess the strengths and weaknesses of referred students though appropriate testing and diagnostic practices.
* Assist in coordination and implementation of district RtI systems and supports.
* Assist in coordination and implementation of PBIS systems and supports.
* Interprets diagnosis to school personnel, professionals, parent and the student, as appropriate.
* Confers with teachers, parents, and other staff about appropriate strategies, techniques, and procedures for dealing with students with disabilities and at-risk population.
* Coordinates referrals and identification of district students with disabilities. 
* Coordinates case conferences and participates in IEPs and placement conferences as assigned.
* Prepares and submits required reports as assigned.
* Assists with reporting child abuse and neglect.
* Provides crisis counseling as needed.
